Yesterday the regional councillor Giancarlo Muzzarelli announced he has submitted a resolution to the regional Council, asking to concretely support the resumption of the process for Unesco&#8217;s nomination of balsamic vinegar&#8217;s tradition, originated from a project of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar&#8217;s Coterie, along with the whole industry, and which also involves the three consortiums for the protection of balsamic vinegar of Modena and Reggio and Modena&#8217;s Traditional Balsamic Vinegar&#8217;s Coterie.<br>\u00abWe&#8217;ll answer the observations of the Ministries in september, than we should be close to our goal\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Regional Councillor Muzzarelli <\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-cdaeab74cd8ac7619f6301d447b46ea5\">\u00abI&#8217;m happy to hear that Giancarlo Muzzarelli has relaunched the cultural aspect: it&#8217;s the same thing we had underlined in our original submission &#8211; said Maurizio Fini, Coterie&#8217;s president &#8211; the cultural aspect is crucial: our vinegar is art, and we have to pass it on to the next generations. Balsamic vinegar is a unique product, it&#8217;s not replicable, and its connection to local history and tradition is so strong, it deserves the highest recognition. And Unesco represents, in this case, the right recognition. Which isn&#8217;t linked to burocracy. Right now, along with Cesare Mazzetti, the new president of the Consortium of Modena&#8217;s Igp Balsamic Vinegar, Enrico Corsini, president of the Consortium of Modena&#8217;s Dop Balsamic Vinegar, and Qualivita, we are promoting and leading on the resolution. We&#8217;re getting ready to rebuild a working group, which will be more active, because Unesco&#8217;s process is very long and full of difficulties, so one needs to team up\u00bb.<br>The charm of the project is also being spread by other institutions.<br>Now. the Region will be the one playing a crucial role in coordinating the work in order to submit the nomination.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-765d4c16171a7125ff598c150975233f\">Enrico Corsini, president of the Consortium of Modena&#8217;s Dop Balsamic Vinegar, approves what Fini says, and adds: \u00abIt&#8217;s beneficial that Muzzarelli, as regional councillor, has submitted this resolution. The assessor Alessio Mammi has always been very sensitive about the issue, as well.
